Das Lutherische Museum in Wittenberg hat eine späte Kopie dieses Bildes, das nach lokaler Tradition Luthers Tochter Magdalena repräsentiert. Die Gelehrten des 20. Jahrhunderts äußerten jedoch die Meinung, dass dies nicht der Fall sein könnte, weil das Kind 1529 geboren wurde, und dieses Bild konnte nicht später als die 1520er Jahre aus stilistischen Gründen datiert werden. Diese Stellungnahme wird nicht allgemein akzeptiert.
