Dans la pièce Suehirogari, un maître daimyo envoie son serviteur, Tarokaja, pour acheter un suehiro, un nom auspicieux pour un fan. Parce que Tarokaja ne comprend pas ce terme, il est facilement trompé par un marchand malhonnête au marché pour acheter un vieux parapluie. Ce tableau capture l'interaction du maître et du serviteur à son retour. Tarokaja chante et danse avec le parapluie, et son maître ne peut rester en colère longtemps.
