Das letzte Gericht ist ein Fresko von Michelangelo an der Altarwand der Sixtinischen Kapelle in der Vatikanstadt. Es dauerte vier Jahre, um abzuschließen und wurde von 1537 bis 1541 ausgeführt. Michelangelo begann drei Jahrzehnte daran zu arbeiten, nachdem er die Sixtinische Kapelle Decke beendet hatte. Die Arbeit ist massiv und überspannt die gesamte Wand hinter dem Altar der Sixtinischen Kapelle. Es ist eine Darstellung des zweiten Kommens Christi und der Apokalypse. Die Seelen der Menschen erheben sich und fallen zu ihren Schicksalen, wie von Christus, umgeben von seinen Heiligen, beurteilt.
