In einer Kristallschale, die wahrscheinlich das Licht aus einem Fenster auf der linken Seite reflektiert, ist ein Bündel von mehrfarbigen Blumen verschiedener Arten gesetzt: eine variegierte Tulpe, Anemone, Nelken, Rosen, Bluebells und andere. Ein Marienkäfer ruht auf der gelben Blume im Vordergrund. Ein Ohr aus Mais und eine Schnecke sind auf dem Regal, einem Holztisch, im Vordergrund. Das kostbare Gemälde, in der unteren rechten Ecke signiert, wurde vom Maler Nicolas van Veerendael gemacht, aktiv, nach Historikern, fast und ausschließlich in Antwerpen, seiner Heimatstadt.
