In a crystal bowl, probably reflecting the light coming from a window on the left, is set a bunch of multi-colored flowers of different species: a variegated tulip, anemones, carnations, roses, bluebells and others. A ladybug is resting on the yellow flower in the foreground. An ear of corn and a snail are set on the shelf, a wooden table, in the foreground. The precious painting, signed in the lower right corner, was made by the painter Nicolas van Veerendael, active, according to historians, almost and exclusively in Antwerp, his hometown.
