der abstieg vom kreuz ist die zentrale tafel eines triptychongemäldes von peter paul rubens in 1612-1614 . Das gemälde ist das zweite von Rubens's große altarbilder für die kathedrale unserer lieben frau , Antwerpen , Belgien , zusammen mit der erhebung des kreuzes . das thema war eines, zu dem rubens in seiner karriere immer wieder zurückkehrte . diese besondere arbeit wurde im september in auftrag gegeben 7 , 1611 , von der bruderschaft der arquebusiers , dessen schutzpatron war st. . Christopher .
