L'Elevation of the Cross (chiamato anche The Raising of Cross) è un triptych dipinto dall'artista fiammingo Peter Paul Rubens, completato nel 1610-1611. Rubens dipinse The Elevation of the Cross dopo il ritorno alle Fiandre dall'Italia. L'opera mostra una chiara influenza di artisti italiani del Rinascimento e del Barocco come Caravaggio, Tintoretto, Michelangelo. Il pannello centrale illustra una tensione tra la moltitudine di uomini finemente muscolosi che tentano di sollevare la croce e il peso apparentemente insopportabile di Cristo sulla croce.
