Prima guerra mondiale Il titolare della partita di mobilitazione della reggenza è decorato su quattro lati con un soldato saluting, un soldato che soffia una tromba, il leone della Royal House of Orange e l'iscrizione "Herinnering aan de mobilisatie 1914" (Rimembranza alla mobilitazione 1914). Nel 1836 Petrus Regout fondò una moderna fabbrica di terracotta meccanizzata e dal 1899 in poi sotto il nome di Sphinx, divenne la più importante fabbrica di ceramica di Maastricht nei Paesi Bassi. Nel 1958 c'era una fusione di Sphinx e Société Céramique. Petrus Regout (1801-1878) discendeva da una famiglia mercantile di Maastricht che dal XVII secolo era attiva nel commercio di terracotta. Regout era anche membro del Senato del Parlamento olandese.
