Das Zentrum dieses bemalten Triptychons von Traquair stellt eine faszinierende Mutter und ein Kind in einer Grenzlandschaft dar, die im Hintergrund vom Leaderfoot Viadukt identifiziert wird. Celtic interlacing kann auf dem einfachen roten Mantel der Mutter gesehen werden. Die beiden Cherubgruppen in den Flügeln blicken auf die Mutter, die hier auf ehrliche und gewöhnliche Weise dargestellt wird. Die Außenseite der Flügel ist mit keltischen und Apfelbaummotiven geprägt und enthält zwei kreisförmige Emails, die „Eve und die Schlange“ und „Adam und Eva im Garten Eden“ darstellen.
