Questa scena mostra Maria si inginocchia in adorazione prima di un Cristo appena nato che si posa sul suo mantello. Cinque angeli cantano accogliendo la sua nascita - due di loro suonano lutes. Accanto a loro un asino sembra vantarsi, mentre un bue cospira solennemente a Cristo. Sono presenti due pastori (le loro facce hanno perso i dettagli, forse attraverso la pulizia eccessiva da parte dei precedenti proprietari). Uno dei pastori punta verso il cielo, stringendo il suo staff come uno scettro. Giuseppe è mostrato nella contemplazione profonda, con la gamba incrociata sopra il ginocchio.
