Pierre Auguste Renoir (1841~1919) è stato un artista francese che è stato un pittore leader nello sviluppo dello stile impressionista. Come celebratore della bellezza, e soprattutto della sensualità femminile, è stato detto che Renoir è il rappresentante finale di una tradizione che va direttamente da Rubens a Watteau.
