Henri-Benjamin Constant de Rebecque (1767-1830), romancier, orateur politique et homme politique français s'installe à Paris en 1795 comme protégé de Madame de Sta1⁄2l. Membre du Tribunat de 1799-1802, il est banni par Napoléon en 1803. De retour en France en 1814, il accepte un poste sous Napoléon pendant les Cent Jours. Constant fut banni par Louis XVIII en 1815 et repartit en exil, retournant en 1816. Il a écrit
