Marguerite-Josephine Weimer (chiamato Mademoiselle George), attrice francese, nacque a Bayeaux nel 1787. La sua prima apparizione in Amiens all'età di dodici anni. Mentre ammirava per la sua bellezza al suo debutto a Parigi nel 1802, Weimer non poteva competere con Mademoiselle Duchenois, il suo ben consolidato rivale, e quindi si esibiva all'estero dal 1808 al 1813. È meglio ricordata come la drammatica musa dei romantici, soprattutto Hugo e Dumas père. Morì a Passy nel 1867.
