Marguerite-Josephine Weimer (genannt Mademoiselle George), französische Schauspielerin, wurde 1787 in Bayeaux geboren. Ihr erster Bühnenauftritt war in Amiens im Alter von zwölf Jahren. Während sie 1802 bei ihrem Pariser Debüt für ihre Schönheit bewundert wurde, konnte Weimer nicht mit Mademoiselle Duchenois, ihrem etablierten Rivalen, konkurrieren und so von 1808-1813 im Ausland auftrat. Sie wird am besten als die dramatische Muse der Romantik erinnert, vor allem Hugo und Dumas père. Sie starb 1867 in Passy.
