A World War I Dutch Ivora neutrality plate that was created by the P van der Want Plateelbakkerij Ivora or Ivora Ceramic Kiln, in the town of Gouda. It celebrates the neutrality of The Netherlands during the First World War (1914-1918) and depicts a Dutch soldier standing steadfast on a rock among a stormy sea. The polychrome decoration has a matt underglaze and is marked Ivora Gouda No 179.
