Questo vaso era originariamente la sezione inferiore di un vaso a forma di beaker o tsun che è stato sezionato sotto la sua sezione centrale rigonfiamento. Il pezzo originale è stato tagliato all'interno del bordo del piede per fare una nuova apertura, che è ora la parte superiore del vaso. Il coperchio originariamente apparteneva a un vaso a forma di kuan che è stato tagliato, alterato, e probabilmente invertito per soddisfare un nuovo scopo. I supporti gilt-bronze sono attribuiti al caster di bronzo parigino Jean Godille, che è menzionato nel 1773 Almanach du Dauphin come “famoso per la sua porcellana e altri vasi preziosi montati.”Fonte: Vignon, Charlotte.
