This impressive painting by Raja Ravi Varma captures the reception accorded to the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos by the Maharaja of Travancore, His Highness Visakham Thirunal Rama Varma. Maharaja Visakham Thirunal Rama Varma succeeded his elder brother, Maharaja Ayilyam Thirunal Rama Varma.
