Questo è uno schizzo interessante di Raja Ravi Varma di un elefante con tutti gli accoutrements della regalità. In primo piano è il canone e la spada. Sull'elefante sono le Howdah, la bandiera e l'ombrello. A sinistra dell'elefante è lo shankha (conch-shell) che è un simbolo speciale di Vishnu. Il conch-shell è chiamato Panchajanya che è un simbolo di autorità religiosa esercitata per parola. Lo Shankha continua a rimanere parte dell'Emblema dello Stato del Kerala.
