Una de las comisiones papales más importantes de Raphael fue el Raphael Cartoons, una serie de 10 dibujos animados, de los cuales siete sobreviven, para tapices con escenas de la vida de San Pablo y San Pedro, para la Capilla Sixtina. El dibujo milagroso de los peces, 1515, es uno de los siete Caricaturas restantes para tapices. Ahora forma parte de la colección del Museo Victoria y Albert.
