This porcelain plate with a basket-weave design is exuberantly ornamented. Adorned with colorful depictions of flowers and fruit, its center includes images of peaches, pears, and delicate flowers. The rim of the plate is decorated with an applied three-dimensional vine with grapes and strawberries sprouting from it. Applied flowers and insects fill the negative space around the vine. Gold paint on the outer edge of the rim complements the dimensionality of the plate’s design.
