L'artista di questo ritratto bifacciale notevolmente piccolo è sconosciuto. Misurando bene sotto un pollice di altezza, questa uber-miniatura mostra un'immagine del re d'Inghilterra Charles I (1600–1649) da un lato, e la regina Anna (1665–1714) dall'altro. Entrambi sono composti in tonalità di grigio (grisaille). L'immagine della Regina si basa strettamente sulla sua pittura incoronazione del 1703 di Sir Godfrey Kneller, una somiglianza che è stata ampiamente distribuita in stampa. La regina Anna regnò per soli cinque anni (1702–1707) ed è ricordata come l'ultimo dei monarchi Stuart. I problemi di intrigo e salute di Palazzo durante il regno della Regina Anna sono l'ispirazione per il film di commedia scuro, The Favor (2018).
