Un acquerello che mostra la Regina che presenta la Medaglia di Crimea a Maggiore e Brevet-Lt-Col. Sir Thomas Trowbridge del 7o Royal Fusilers il 18 maggio 1855. Il principe Alberto si trova dietro la regina, e accanto a lei il principe di Galles, in Highland Dress. La Medaglia di Crimea fu assegnata a tutti quelli dell'esercito britannico, della Royal Navy e dei Royal Marines che avevano servito nel Crimea. La regina Vittoria desiderava presentare la medaglia ad alcuni degli uomini. Il 18 maggio 1855 distribuì 768 medaglie, e può essere visto qui presentando uno a maggiore e Brevet-Lt-Col. Sir Thomas Trowbridge del 7o Royal Fusiliers, 'che con i suoi arti frantumati è stato disegnato lungo una sedia da bagno da un soldato del suo Regt. ♪
