W 1893 roku Wyspiański mieszkał w Paryшu wspólnie z Józefem Mehoferem w małym pokoju przy avenue du Maine. WYGLÓD Swej „chambretki (maleńkiego kшcika dla mnie przeznaczonego) utrwalił w kompozycji pastlowej, ale teш opisywał w listach, m.in. Faites swego Wujostwa: «pokoik mój wyglėda bardzo milutko – dwie białe zasłony przy drzwiach i koło łóшka - zasłony ubrane kwiatami, które mi cicia przysłała.
