Diese Weintasse hat ein seltenes Design mit einem Brettspiel ‘sugoroku (japanische Backgammon)’. Das spiralig angeordnete Design wird in hira maki-e (flache gesprengte Metalldekoration) auf der vermilion lackierten Oberfläche ausgeführt. Es zeigt gefeierte Orte in Edo (modern Tokio) von Beginn der Nihonbashi-Brücke bis zum Abschluss des Ote-mon-Tors von Edo Castle. Der Schöpfer, Kōryusai gilt als ein Maki-e-Künstler aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, aber die Details seiner Karriere sind unbekannt.
