Attribuito a Thomas Chippendale junior. Questo è uno dei sette disegni di un album assemblato dall'uomo d'affari di Toronto, Alexander Manning (1819-1903). Emigrò dall'Irlanda e arrivò a Toronto nel 1834. Un carpentiere addestrato, Manning divenne uno dei costruttori di maggior successo e sviluppatori di proprietà a Toronto ed era anche attivo nella politica locale, servendo due volte come sindaco nel 1873 e 1885. Nella vita successiva divenne filantropo e patrono delle arti, ma i disegni presumibilmente si riferiscono ai suoi interessi professionali come costruttore. Non è noto come Manning ha acquisito i disegni, e la loro provenienza prima della sua proprietà è sconosciuta. Il tavolo ha alcune somiglianze con due tavoli ora alla Harewood House (illus. Gilbert, 1978, fichi 473 & 497). Uno ha un fregio simile di paterae alternato a flauti e l'altro ha girato e rastremato le gambe dirette da Chippendale junior
