La porte sud est au centre à gauche flanquée de bâtiments/boutiques de part et d'autre avec des amas de figures en bas à gauche (en désussion) et en bas à droite (à côté d'un cheval, d'un chariot et d'un chien). Rowlandson a visité Devon et Cornwall tout en séjournant avec son ami Matthew Michell (de Bodmin) pendant cette période bien qu'il ait vécu au 2 Robert Street, Adelphi, Londres
