Taken just weeks after arriving in Vietnam in 1965 – evacuees from the overrun district of An Hoa at Quang Ngai airstrip. The body of the grieving widow’s husband is being taken off the chopper.Biography:Tim Page became world-reknowned for his coverage of the Vietnam War. Wounded on multiple occasions, he defined and epitomised the war photographer of his generation.As an activist, and photojournalist, he pushed the boundaries of press freedom to bring home the truth. He is the subject of many documentaries, two films and the author of 10 books. He spent five months in 2009 as the Photographic Peace Ambassador for the UN in Afghanistan and is the recipient of many awards. He was recently named one of the ‘100 Most Influential Photographers of All Time’. Since arriving in Australia, Tim has also covered East Timor and The SOlomon Islands. He now lives peacefully in Bellingen, New South Wales, Australia.
