il dettaglio mostra la vergine annunciata . in un'epoca che è stata completamente modellata dal cristianesimo , sarebbe stato ovvio che i due pannelli superiori , mostrando maria a destra e un angelo a sinistra , apparteneva insieme come annunciazione . Questa era anche una disposizione trovata in molti altri polittici . Senza saperlo , però , sarebbe abbastanza concepibile vedere entrambe le scene come parte delle scene centrali , la risurrezione di cristo .
