Des milliers d'anges d'adoration s'intéressent activement à la cérémonie. Ils sont flanqués de chaque côté en applaudissant les saints - Pierre, Paul et François à gauche. Pape Nicolas IV est vu à genoux dans l'adoration des deux figures sur le trône, mais il est beaucoup plus petit qu'eux, même plus petit que les anges et les saints debout derrière eux.
