A high-ranking courtesan (oiran), accompanied by her Adolescent apprentice (shinzō) and two child attendants (kamuro), promenade under a weeping willow in the spring. Aunque todavía no se ha determinado la identidad del artista que se firma “Unchō”, podemos suponer que recibió su nombre artístico del artista ukiyo-e Katsukawa Shunchō. Los dos inscriptores de la poesía anterior, Kyōden y Bakin, están entre los escritores más populares del día. Ambos han añadido frases poéticas chinas y japonesas referidas a los cuartos de placer de Yoshiwara. Kyōden utiliza metáforas de sauces y flores; Bakin cita un poema chino y luego se asemeja a un cortesano a un bodhisattava de Kannon mil brazos al servicio de los hombres.
