Vicente Tofiño de San Miguel was a Spanish sailor and cosmographer who taught at the Royal Company of Midshipmen in Cádiz, eventually becoming its director. While there, he wrote the Compendio de la Geometría Elemental y Trigonometría rectilínea: para el uso de los Cavalleros Guardias-Marinas en su academia.
