Foto von Yoon Dongju nahm am 4. August 1942 in seiner Heimatstadt Longjing. Der Dichter, der in der Rikkyo Universität in Tokio studierte, kehrte während des Sommerurlaubs nach Hause zurück. Dieses Foto wurde mit Verwandten seines Alters aufgenommen, mit denen er in seiner Heimatstadt aufgewachsen war, und wurde sein letztes Bild aus seiner Heimatstadt. Die Haare des Dichters werden aufgrund der Verordnung auf Topknot Prohibition von Undergraduate Students kurz geschnitten, die im April unter dem Kriegszeitregime umgesetzt wurde.
