Artist Jayasri Burman went to Paris and trained in printmaking under Monsieur Ceizerzi. Her work has been exhibited in the 1987 International Triennale, Germany, and at Gallery Sumukha, Hong Kong, Royal Cultural Centre, Amman, organized by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, in collaboration with the Embassy of India in Amman, Jordan and many others. Burman works mainly in watercolour, using rich, intense hues and bold themes with a fantastical element—strange hybrid animals with human heads and female figures.
