Family portrait of the Amsterdam baptismal family Brak in an interior sitting around a table for a mantelpiece. From left to right: Reverend Jan Brak (1717-61), his brother Pieter Brak (about 1714-after 1778), his father Harmen Brak (over 1768), his sister-in-law Margaretha Hasselaar (1726-80/83) and her husband Cornelis Brak (1724-82). Standing in the foreground is their eldest daughter with a doll, Margaretha (b. 1752) sits on her mother's lap. A look at the library on the left.
