Притча фарисея и коллекционера, представленная в трех сценах. Посередине фарисеи на коленях перед алтарем, слева высокомерный фарисей оставляет храм с дьяволом, справа публики оставляют храм с ангелом. Полотно является частью серии притч, написанных для лютеранской церкви в Лейдене (см. также Nos SK-A-2958 и SK-A-2960).
