Миньон специализировался в этом виде пышного цветка все еще-жизни. На правой стороне плинтуса он рисовал апельсин, в явном отсылке к семье Оранж-Нассау. Как и другой цветок, все еще живущий у Миньона, эта картина исходит из коллекции семьи Оранж-Нассау. В XVIII веке они были повешены в замке Ораненштейн в Диз, Германия.
