Пиано привез в Португалию композитором и пианистом Францом Лизтом (1811-1886), во время его прохода через Лиссабон в 1845 году. Она была предложена королеве Д. Марии II (1819-1853), которая пожертвовала ее Мануэлю Иноцо душ Сантушу (1802-1887), учителю музыки Младенцев. Это был один из первых современных фортепиано, которые можно было увидеть в Португалии.
