Здесь Вигéе Ле Брюн представляет главную фигуру театрального мира— актрису, танцовщицу и певицу Dugazon (1755–1831)— в самой запоминающейся роли ее карьеры. Художник утверждает, что она видела этого знаменитого исполнителя в титульной роли Нины, ou La Folle par amour (The Woman Crazed with Love) «по крайней мере, двадцать раз». Нина поднимается с скамейки, ее выражение анимировано, ее глаза широко открыты, так как она слушает голос своего возлюбленного.
