Герцогиня де Берри (1798 1870), по рождению принцессы Неаполя, была овдовевшей матерью будущего наследника французского трона. Ее портрет говорит о великолепии молодой женщины, которая отождествляла себя с героинями сэра Уолтера Скотта. Портретист поставил ее против угрожающего неба, ее шарф схватил ветер.
