1891 год Klimts Bruder Ernst Helene Flöge. Daurch wird Gustav mit deren Schwester Emilie (1874–1952) bekannt. Mit ihr verbindet ihn eine lebenslange Freundschaft. Ab 1898 verbringt Klimt jeden Sommer mit der Familie Flöge im Salzkammergut. Das Kleid, das Emilie auf dem Foto trägt, ist ein sogenanntes Reformkleid, das Koloman Moser entworfen Hat.
