Композиция празднует конец зимы через союз Флоры, римской богини весны, и Зефира, бога ветра. Несмотря на преобладание картин с видом, венецианские художники, специализирующиеся на цифрах, включая Amigoni, Себастьяно Риччи и Джованни Пеллегини— также достигли международного рептута и получили комиссионные по всей Европе. Амигони написал эту работу в Англии, где он жил между 1729 и 1739 годами.
