В 1884 году на борту лайнера «Адриатик» в Ливерпуле был представлен Thomas Ismay акционерами White Star. Он был разработан художником Г. А. Картером и сделан выдающимися лондонскими серебряными кузнецами Hunt & Roskell и является лучшим в своем роде.
