Мари Лечинская (1703-1768) родилась в Бреслау 23 июня 1703 года, будучи дочерью Станисла Лесчинского (который в 1704 году стал королем Польши) и Екатерины Опалинской. Она была предана Людовику XV, шагу, который был результатом ревности к домам Конде и Орлеана, и был везде расценен как скорбь для французского короля. Брак состоялся в Фонтенбло 5 сентября 1725 года.
