Riverbeings is an installation on wall resulting from individual pieces of variable measures from the series “The refuge”. Although it is inspired in the Delta area, it suggests an unlocated landscape that gives a main role to the natural environment. The seemingly automatic gestures of the drawing channel the unsuspected emergence of fantastic beings -some evanescent and spectral, other more tangible- from calm waters or the entangled forest in the magic sunset hour. The poetic of the work emphasizes the possible connections between a world seemingly known and deciphered, and the parallel and secret existence of other categories. Therefore, akin to a fantastic tale, various alternative forms of existence and life experiences emerge, not as conflicting interpretations, but as potential dialogues that enhance and challenge conventional knowledge.
