Carola Nilstein started inventing a new kind of chamber pot in 1995. She came up with the Pippinette, which is made so that a woman can urinate while standing upright. Carola started out with folding paper to find the right for the Pipinette. She consulted women of all ages on the shape and function of the new potty. Carola has also made a Travelkit, a version of the Pipinette, which is useful when travelling as it fits in your handbag. Travelkit is a thin bag which sits upon a holder. The bag absorbs the fluid and after using it you fold it and throw it in the waste bin. The Pipinette has received several prizes: The Swedish Design Prize: Utmärkt Svensk Form, 2004, Good design Award, Chicago, Atheneum, USA, Red Dot Design Award, 2004, Germany.
