Jacket and skirt, of Thai silk, created in spring 1960; blouse and jacket lining of silk foulard. Many of Her Majesty’s jewel-toned suits were designed, like this one, with a cardigan-style jacket worn open to highlight a contrasting blouse. Used in London during the 1960 tour, this suit features an unusually long jacket, lined in silk that matches the blouse.
