Vladimir Lenin (1870 - 1924) was a revolutionary leader of the Soviet Union Communist Party and mentor of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution. The political theory that Lenine developed from Marxist thought exerted a profound influence in China, resulting in the creation of the Chinese Communist Party and the development of revolutionary movements that led to the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China.
