This photograph depicts Pitt Street in Sydney, looking south toward Central. It was probably taken between Abercrombie Lane and Bridge Street early in 1912. The Melbourne Steamship Company Ltd office can be seen to the left, the almost completed construction of the AMP Building can be seen second building on the right. The Empire Hotel, with a flag perched on top, can also be seen on the corner of Pitt and Hunter Streets.
