In around 1929, young industrial designer Arie Verbeek of Rotterdam designed a portable electric heater for Inventum. His design incorporates two standard 0.5 kW Inventum elements placed horizontally in a bracket made of a continuous piece of bent steel tubing. The supporting underside of the bracket is formed so the two elements radiate their heat at an upward angle. A Bakelite plug/switch is mounted where the two ends of the tubing meet, at the base of the bracket. This red-painted model was introduced in 1932.
