A member of SVU Václav Špála (1885 Zlutice in New Bydžov - 1946 Prague) is rightly consider classic Czech paintings, who was one of the few in home conditions developed and enriched program of Fauvism. Classy coloristic sense Špála began to cultivate it for their study stay in Dubrovnik. His first paintings were created in the spirit of Fauvism, but which complement the expressive undertone. Knowledge of Cubism, Orphism he displayed in vibrant color work and laying the rhythmic colors. His work dominated by bright colors, the composition was significant green, blue, red and white. In the case of landscape paintings at the Red nad Vltavou goal was to create a peaceful, uncomplicated landscape composition of simple forms that give artists the opportunity to warm up his intuitive sense of color and space.
